We consider ourselves to be golf businessmen, not merely golf operators. We prefer to act as a principal rather than a traditional fee manager, thereby aligning our financial interests with those of our partners. We continue to actively seek growth opportunities. Our current portfolio is equally split between private country clubs, resorts and daily fee golf courses, and we would like to expand our holdings in each sector. While our preference is to continue acquiring courses, Century Golf Partners will operate courses for 3rd party owners in instances where our approach will create value.
Through our management vehicle, Arnold Palmer Golf Management, we operate 61 daily fee courses, resort courses, and private country clubs across the U.S. We operate our country clubs as if they were member-owned, with every attention paid to the needs and wants of the membership. Each is operated for the members, in partnership with the members. Our members elect the Board of Governors from among the membership, which in turn acts on behalf of the membership in setting the vision for the Club. We listen, we advise and we act. It is our job to facilitate the members’ vision for their Club.
Our daily fee clubs operate with the stated goal to exceed the customer’s expectations, and thus are value leaders in their markets. We provide excellent turf conditions and a great playing experience, at price points that are appropriate given our product and the competitive set. We have developed highly sophisticated yield management systems, and are leaders in the daily fee industry for tee sheet management and operating efficiency. We are focused on delivering operating profits, not “Rack Rate” differentiation.
Our clubs are located as far south as Palm Beach, Florida, as far north as Buffalo, New York and as far west as San Diego, California. Many of our clubs offer something for the entire family – golf, tennis, swimming, fitness and dining. Some of our other properties are true golf clubs, catering to those who seek the classic golf experience.
